Welcome Message
The 60th Annual Spring Meeting of the Japanese Society of Clinical Cytology

Chairperson of the Board: Nobuhiro Takeshima
The Cancer Institute Hospital of JFCR: gynecology department manager
We are pleased to announce the 60th Annual Spring Meeting of the Japanese Society of Clinical Cytology at the Keio Plaza Hotel in Shinjuku,Tokyo for three days from 7th June (Sun) to 9th June (Sun). As a member of the cancer research group, I am honored to be in charge of the academic meeting of the prestigious Society.
The relationship between the Japanese clinical cytology society and the cancer research group is deep and it is well-known that the late Professor Kazumasa Masubuchi(Honorary Director of the Cancer Hospital) has made efforts to establish the Society. The first academic meeting of this society is held in Tokyo in 1961 with Mr. Masuzumi as the chairman. The society has continued to develop afterwards, and now it has more than 12,000 members, and clinical trials are also undertaken as a public interest corporation of a national organization. In 2006, the Cancer Research Group held the 45th Autumn Meeting at the Tokyo Big Sight under the auspices of Mr. Takeshi Hourai (Respiratory Medicine, Cancer Institute Ariake Hospital). Also, in 2009, we have held the 50th spring meeting (commemoration event) at Keio Plaza Hotel under the president of Yasuo Hirai (later a professor of Tokyo Women's Medical University). I also participated as executive chairperson at this academic meeting.
I think it is very meaningful that we can hold the 60th memorial tournament again at the same hotel after just ten years.
Professor Yoshiya Naito(Nippon Medical School Pathology Course) who gave the helpful guidance on this occasion is appointed to honorary chairman. Regarding the contents of the program and lecture, we would like to make it fruitful to everyone in the membership. The society has a great social role, and there is a mission to protect the health of the people through cytodiagnosis.Especially this time, the theme is "cytology contributing to clinical practice", so all medical staff members are doing their best to make an academic meeting conform to the purpose of the establishment of this society.
Tokyo in 2019 seems to be lively as it is ahead of the Olympic Games in the following year.
We sincerely thank you for your visiting.
